T.A.S.K is the Trader Approved Scheme for Knowsley. If you are an older person, or consider yourself to be vulnerable (i.e. with a physical or mental disability) and you live in Knowsley, then T.A.S.K. is for you!

T.A.S.K. is a directory of traders who have been vetted and approved by Trading Standards and who have agreed to abide by a code of practice. The T.A.S.K. directory is held by KPAIS and can be accessed by calling 0151 546 6680 (minicom 0151 480 5140). KPAIS staff will take your details and will then give you the details of the particular trader you need. You will then be sent an information pack which includes a feedback form. This allows you to let us know how you got on with the trader you chose and how we are able to monitor the work of the traders.

T.A.S.K. was set up with the aim of eliminating the 'rogue traders' out there, who target older and vulnerable people. It was created with the input of KPAIS, Knowsley Borough Councils Trading Standards Service, Community Older Persons Team, Neighbourhood Wardens, Age Concern, Victim Support and Merseyside Police.

So, if you are eligible and you need a trader, Just Ask T.A.S.K. !!
